Visiting Kruger's Christmas Tree Farm was more than just a casual trip for me. It was a chance to see my daughter in her element, working hard and earning respect from everyone around her. What struck me most was how often people described her as a hard worker. Hearing that from multiple generations of the farm's owners filled me with pride. It was clear that Meredith’s dedication and positive attitude made a real difference in this family-run business.
Each time I responded, "she grew up on a farm". Whether you help with chores, or own your own barn having this amount of responsibility creates a core work ethic, attitude of service to others, and dedication that is irreplaceable.
I have four daughters as some of you know, and all have acquired a tenacious amount of will-power and responsibility.
From opening their own businesses, traveling abroad and across the country alone, to working four jobs at one time, their stamina originated right here at the barn.
If you don't live on a farm, please make sure your child has responsibilities in your home. CHORES? YES... I believe is the next best thing to helping your children grow into responsible adults.
