Promise Kept Therapeutic Riding Center was founded in 2011 as a nonprofit therapy center. We offer 1:1 and group sessions for individuals with array of diagnosis. Personally, my family and I have been providing this service since we moved to Baldwin in 2004. Some of our very first students are still coming to the farm for riding.
Our farm is here to help people. Whether you ride with Pine Lake Pastures or Promise Kept- we strive to help individuals grow as they learn.
I'm reaching out today to ask you to donate to our nonprofit. All donations are tax deductible and will go to the care of our elderly horses.
Our senior grain ( for the older horse) bill is $900/month.
Our vet bill is over $8000. Every donation is a blessing.
If you are good at social media, we could utilize your talents with updating our pages with our OTTBs (off the track thoroughbreds) that we have rescued. We have 7 OTTBs here at the farm that are thriving and great for therapy and lessons- and with social media coverage, we could qualify for grants next year.
Finally, from my heart, I want to thank my PLP family that generously gave their time to help with chores as I underwent surgery. The surgery was successful and the pathology report came back with good news. 👍
My daughter Mookie gave me confidence thru the process saying that I had survived a lot- this issue wasn't going to take me down. I couldn't have recovered successfully, without family and friends! We are a village and I love you all.
