Scotty- was born with his brain outside his head. The doctors said he would die within 24 hours of birth. He didn't. This parents had the operation to put his brain inside his skull- he survived that too. The doctors then sent Scotty home 'to die'. He is 21 yrs old today- miracles continue to happen in his life. He doesn't have a brain stem and should be blind- though his vision isn't perfect  he can see and has taught himself to use one eye and read. Scotty loves God and when he prays- well, it's enough to bring tears to your eyes.  While visiting our home this past week- Scotty said he wanted to work with horses but he was afraid to ride. We introduce Scotty to DJ one of our Personal Ponies. We will eventually help Scotty ride horses in our therapeutic riding program- but we started small for today.
