Pine Lake Pastures is a farm dedicated to helping people and animals heal and grow. Cheri Morton, owner and head trainer, had a dream to open a barn where everyone felt welcome; a place where students could get quality lessons at an affordable rate, and where unwanted horses could be given the love and patience needed to help them prove they too could shine in their purpose!
Pine Lake Pastures offers riding lessons for beginners through advanced riders. Lessons can be built around your desire to learn. Students range from 3 years old to retirement. Want to trail ride, show at games, or learn to jump? Maybe you fell off your horse and need to rebuild your confidence on one of our lessons horses? Pine Lake Pastures has a program that can help you learn. Many of the students attend shows throughout the summer and because of the consistent training- they are always bringing in ribbons!
Besides lessons, Cheri Morton also runs Promise Kept Therapeutic Riding, a horse related therapy program for special needs children and adults. The program is run at Pine Lake Pastures. Horseback riding has been a proven benefit to increase speaking ability, core strength, behavioral modification for children diagnosed on the autisic spectrum, and confidence building.
Cheri also volunteers her farm and time in the community with 4H, Cheri is currently aHunter/Jumper Clinician, and Horseless Horse Program Coordinator. She donates hundreds of hours for helping the youth of St Croix County.
